Origins
Wen's World began as a personal website in 1999 which used cartoon characters to share the Easter story. In its first appearance as an evangelistic website, Fav and his trusty chinchilla friend, Chris, took readers to 33 A.D. Jerusalem on a journey to witness the condemnation, crucifixion and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ while explaining its significance along the way. Following that came two more updates - the First Noel (the very first Christmas) and The Lover of the Unlovely (the stories of 8 lives touched by Christ during His life on earth).
At the same time, Fav and Chris, and subsequently the two lovable hamsters Robinson and Kako, regularly appeared on a youth newsletter in a church in Singapore where their creator served as its editor and illustrator.
In the year 2005, Wen's World's illustrations were produced on its first range of retail products by Pix Artz Pte Ltd, a company set up by it's creator and partners. From its initial range of bookmarks, postcards and notebooks, the product range has since expanded to include stickers, mini cards, Christmas cards, etc. and an even wider range at our Zazzle Store!
Vision
Wen’s World is about “Communicating Christ through Comics and Cartoons”! Here at Wen’s World, our goal is to make full use of the world’s most popular art form - cartoons - to spread God’s Word.
Wen’s World Christian Comics aims to bring the Bible’s stories to life through the comic medium. Our comics draw out God’s principles from the stories and show us how they still apply to us today. We seek to tell Christ's story through our lovable characters, and challenge people into a closer relationship and deeper walk with Him through our illustrations and writings.
